Ad firm finds success amid recession

Smart phone applications and a swell of Hispanic consumers has helped a young Peoria advertising firm triple its revenue within three years, even as companies scale back ad dollars to beat the recession.

Arrowhead Advertising, a company headquarted in an office overlooking the city's spring training baseball stadium, reported revenue of $1 million in 2005 and is projected to bring in $5.2 million in 2009.

Peoria resident Kyle Eng founded the company in 2003 and remains its CEO.
